Return of duo will be a huge boost for Wolverhampton Wolves
Wolverhampton will be back at full strength with Jacob Thorssell and Nick Morris primed to return to action and ‘heroic’ stand-in Scott Nicholls making way.
The Parrys International Wolves have been without both since the start of the season, running rider replacement for Morris who suffered a wrist injury in Poland before turning a wheel for the Monmore men.
Nicholls was drafted in while Thorssell recovered from a hand complaint, but the Swede’s comeback means the end of the line at Wolverhampton for seven-time British champion.
“It was a tough decision because Scott’s performances for us have been heroic but Jacob will be back in the team for the two meetings against Belle Vue and so will Nick Morris,” said team boss Peter Adams.
“Nick is off to Poland today for some practice laps and tells me he is 100 per cent certain to be fit for Monday.
“Rider replacement is always difficult to cope with, it puts a strain on man and machine so we are happy to be back to a full complement.
“Everyone was very pleased with our team declaration when it was originally made and now we have the chance to see it in action.”
