Jacob Thorssell injury shock at Wolverhampton Wolves
Wolverhampton’s pre-season preparations have been thrown into turmoil with news Swedish star Jacob Thorsell won’t start the campaign.
Thorssell suffered a hand injury in Spain when he was alongside former Monmore favourite Freddie Lindgren in a motocross session. Now he is unlikely to be fit until June after undergoing surgery and Wolves are already studying their options to cover for him.
Co-promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “Obviously this is a shattering blow to both Jacob and the club, for this to occur in pre-season training is so unlucky. We will now urgently address the situation and establish what we can do within the restrictions surrounding team building.”
