Cameron Heeps delighted at Wolverhampton Wolves showing
Wolverhampton’s Cameron Heeps has told of his relief after his impressive performance helped his side overpower reigning Premiership champions Swindon.
While the 52-38 result at Monmore Green reflected the solid team performance, one relieved man was reserve Heeps who admits he’s been riding way below his capabilities in the early stages of his Wolves career.
“The rest of the boys needed me to start chipping in and hopefully I can build on this going forward,” Heeps said.
“I know I should’ve been doing better than I have been, but Monday night reminded me of what I can do.
“It was a good win for the team as well which is the most important thing against a solid Swindon side.”
Wolves are back at Monmore next Monday (July 23, 7.30) when Belle Vue are the visitors.
