Peter Adams wants Wolverhampton Wolves to deliver on the road

The Parrys International Wolves are still looking for their first win on the road, but did pick up their second consolation league point of the season from their 47-43 defeat at Leicester on Monday.

That meeting saw Sam Masters and Rory Schlein switch riding positions – a tactic which will be employed again at Wimborne Road.

And the Monmore men know that they need a minimum of a draw in Dorset to meet the three-point benchmark set by Adams prior to last week’s fixture at reigning champions Swindon.

“On our away travels we haven’t had a lot of luck and there’s always been somebody not firing,” Adams said.

“So when they all start firing at the same time, I think we’ll deal with most teams in this league no matter where we go.

“Sam will do much better in the No.4 position and I’m quite sure that Monday was just one bad day at the office for Rory.

“He’ll be fired up to return to the form he’s shown for the rest of the season and I’m confident he’ll score more than he managed on Monday.

“I told the team I wanted a minimum of three league points from this run of three away meetings, so they know what they need to do tonight.”

Last time out, Poole ended a run of straight six defeats with a 47-43 home win over Rye House, but surprisingly remain bottom of the table with just eight points from seven matches.

However, this year’s Premiership standings are so close, they are only six points behind second-placed Wolves, who trail leaders Swindon by two points, but have a meeting in hand.

Second-bottom Somerset host third-placed Belle Vue in tonight’s other SGB Premiership fixture.
