Peter Adams targeting win over world champion
Wolverhampton team boss Peter Adams wants his side to get back to winning ways against world champion Jason Doyle’s Somerset at Monmore Green tonight (7.30pm).
The Parrys International Wolves have won all three of their home fixtures so far, but were well beaten last time out as they went down 57-33 at Belle Vue in the Knockout Cup.
And while Adams sees no reason why they can’t maintain their unbeaten home record, he has warned his side that Somerset shouldn’t be taken lightly.
“People look at teams like Somerset and think we should roll them over with our eyes shut,” Adams said. “I can tell you now that that is not the case and won’t be all season long.
“There’ll be no such thing as an easy match in this year’s Premiership and I’m expecting a difficult test.”
Wolverhampton are at full strength with captain Rory Schlein targeting a third straight maximum at Monmore.
