The Parrys International Wolves will be looking to build up a handy lead ahead of the return at The Oaktree Arena.

The Monmore men have already recorded two wins against the Rebels on home shale this season – but Wolves star Kyle Howarth says his side can’t take anything for granted ahead of the clash.

“Somerset have got a decent team but they just haven’t all fired when they’ve been to Wolves earlier in the year,” Howarth said.

“So whether we’ve beaten them a few times or not doesn’t really matter and we have to make sure we approach the meeting in the right way.

“If we can hit them pretty hard in the first seven or eight races and then kick on later in the meeting too, that could be huge.

“Of course we want to rack up as many points as we can to take to Somerset for the second leg and it’s going to need a full team performance.

“It’s another chance to build some momentum and confidence ahead of next week’s play-offs and hopefully there’ll be a good crowd there too to cheer us on.”

The Parrys International Wolves are at full strength for Wednesday’s tie with captain Freddie Lindgren back in action for the first time since winning the Premiership Riders’ Championship at the weekend.

Somerset are led by talented Australian Josh Grajczonek and the Rebels also bring in Paul Starke as a guest for the injured Cameron Heeps.

Starke is a consistent performer at Monmore Green having spent the 2014 season there while riding for Cradley.
