Fast Freddie getting back to his best
Wolverhampton skipper Freddie Lindgren believes he is recapturing his best form ahead of tonight’s clash with King’s Lynn at Monmore Green (7.30pm).
Lindgren stormed back into World Championship contention with a third-place finish in his home Grand Prix in Malilla on Saturday.
He also impressed for the Parrys International Wolves last week, claiming a brilliant 14-point haul in Wednesday’s narrow defeat at Somerset.
The Swedish star is confident he is now getting back to his brilliant early-season form after a slight slump – and he is keen to continue his purple patch against the Stars.
“I’m just focused on getting my head straight and getting back to riding the best that I can,” Lindgren said.
“I did myself a lot of good on Saturday night. I started the season in very good form before I tailed off a little bit and had some trouble with my injury, but it feels like I’m picking up again and I want to keep it going.
“Things are going really well for us again at Wolverhampton this year. Obviously we have some injury problems at the moment with Sam (Masters) out injured.
“But we’ll look to keep the points ticking over with another win on Monday then we’ll hopefully have everyone back and ready for the play-offs.”
