The Parrys International Wolves put on a spectacular show in front of the BT Sport cameras and overcame a gutsy Rockets side to secure all three points.

The firepower of their top five eventually made all the difference as they emerged from some frantic action with 11 race wins and a well-deserved victory.

All-action Mancunian Kyle Howarth put in a breathtaking display in the No.2 spot, joining forces with No.1 Freddie Lindgren for two vital 5-1s.

Their maximum in the first race was relatively straightforward, but they both picked off Ricky Wells in determined fashion to repeat the trick in a magnificent heat 10 which put their side 10 points clear.

Howarth dropped just one point to an opposing rider, missing out by millimetres in a colossal battle with Stuart Robson in heat six after he had bravely rounded seven-time British champion Scott Nicholls. And he gained revenge over Robson by bravely blasting around the outside line to see off the Rockets’ reserve, putting Wolves six clear in the process after Ben Barker had crashed hard on the opening lap.

Barker, fortunately, was able to dust himself down from the potentially nasty crash, recovering to roar clear in heat 11 and end Sam Masters’ unbeaten evening.

But his partner, Chris Harris, was left stranded in third as he took a tactical ride as the visitors missed out on the chance to get back into the meeting.

Harris had shown signs of another vintage Monmore Green showing when he brilliantly saw off Thorssell in a classic wheel-to-wheel showdown in heat five.

Yet flying No.5 Masters snatched victory from Harris in a sensational heat 13 before Thorssell roared clear in heat 15 to ensure Rye House left empty-handed.

With their powerful top five in fine form and all recording at least one race win apiece, it was another successful night for the high-flying Wolves.

They will look for a repeat result as they head to Rye House on Saturday (7.30pm) before hosting Poole next Monday (7.30pm).
