Tai Woffinden ready to race on following horror crash
Tai Woffinden is ready to race on – after a horrifying high speed crash in Poland.
The double world champion aggravated an old groin injury when riding for Wroclaw on Sunday in their 50-40 win over Czestochowa.
He was all set to miss his Swedish League outing for Masarna on Tuesday before rain washed it out anyway but is now set to resume racing in Poland tonight.
Woffinden said: “It was a big crash on Sunday, I was sent towards the fence in the first corner and ended up going over my handlebars.
“I still managed to go out again in my next race but I’ve aggravated an old groin injury and generally feel battered and bruised but I’ll be fine.
“I had to sit in the ambulance for a bit and gather my thoughts and composure after that because it could have been worse.”
