Will Pottinger hoping Tom Perry can inspire Cradley Heathens
Cradley boss Will Pottinger hopes the return of skipper Tom Perry can inspire them to an away win at the Isle of Wight.
The Motor Market Heathens are on the lookout for their second straight win on the road after a hard-fought success at Plymouth in their last outing.
Star man Perry returns to the side after missing their trip to the St Boniface Arena due to a fixture clash with SGB Championship side Glasgow.
Pottinger is backing Perry and fellow heat-leader Danny Ayres to play a starring role at Smallbrook as they look to add to their Travel Plus National League points tally. He said: “It’s a meeting we’re going into with high hopes, but we know it will be tough and we can’t take anything for granted.
“It’ll be good to have Tom (Perry) back in the team, and I’m sure him and Danny (Ayres) will love that sort of track.
“I’m sure they’ll help get the rest of the boys dialled in with setups, and we’ll need everyone to chip in again really if we’re going to get a result.
“It’s a long journey for most so we certainly don’t want to be leaving there without any points to show for our efforts.”
Cradley are at full strength, while the Warriors have drafted in Lee Payne to guest for Nathan Greaves, who is riding for new SGB Championship side Ipswich, in the No.5 spot.
