Unbeaten heat-leader trio Freddie Lindgren, Jacob Thorssell and Rory Schlein inspired the Parrys International Wolves to a sixth straight win.

With a heavy downpour an hour before the start, quick gating was going to be crucial.

And Peter Adams’ men outclassed their opponents with lighting reactions on the start line.

Wolves took the chequered flag in the opening five races but had to wait until heat three to take the lead.

New Leicester signing Jason Garrity broke the tapes and was replaced by Danny Ayres. It was Ayres, who also rides for Cradley in the National League, who flew away from the starts but as Thorssell rounded him off bend one, Schelin then clattered his way through for the first of three maximums between the pair.

After Lindgren eased to a second straight win in the sixth, the Thorssell/Schlein combination delivered the goods again to move the Wolves 26-16 in front. They capitalised on an error from Leicester skipper Danny King, who started 15 metres behind them after destroying the starting tapes in the original staging.

Their 10-point deficit enabled the Lions to nominate Erik Riss for double points in the eighth. Despite him taking a comfortable victory, Wolves duo Mark Riss and Kyle Howarth ensured Ayres was kept at the back and forced the hosts to settle for a 6-3.

Leicester may have clawed their way back to within seven, but with their final roll of the dice out of the way, Wolves were ready to unleash their merciless assault to wrap up the points.

Sam Masters and Riss were hot on the tail of Garrity and when the Leicester man shed a chain on the final two bends, the Wolves were awarded their third 5-1.

A fourth directly followed when Thorssell, then Schlein, worked superbly to pass Lions No.1 Kim Nilsson.

Two further tapes to flag victories for Lindgren in heats 11 and 13 put the result beyond doubt.

Wolves host Swindon at Monmore Green next Monday as they look to continue their stunning run of form.
