Cradley Heathens bring in Ryan Burton after releasing Bradley Andrews
Cradley Heathens have snapped up Wearside racer Ryan Burton for their revamped side.
Burton, 23, spent his debut season with Buxton and notched an average of 3.37 – mainly in the tricky main body of the side. The Sunderland-based rider joins skipper Tom Perry, Danny Ayres, Dan Greenwood and Joe Lawlor in the 2017 team – and the club have been told Lawlor's starting average is now 3.59 after league officials failed to hand him a figure at the end of the season.
Heathens, who will race the majority of their meetings at Wolverhampton with occasional appearances at Birmingham, have reluctantly released Bradley Andrews from their plans.
Andrews, a firm favourite with fans as he is the grandson of former Dudley Wood favourite Bob, has had two other clubs looking to sign him. Burton has been drafted in to start the season at reserve with the club keen to strengthen that department after a weakness last season.
