Teenage ace Clegg, who has been in sparkling form of late, was involved in a heavy crash at Edinburgh on Friday when on Premier League duty with the Monarchs.

He was in severe pain with his back on Saturday but some rest over the weekend has done the trick and the gritty Yorkshireman will come to the tapes.

Parrys International Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten said: "Max is a brave lad and he says he's fit and raring to go.

"I'm sure he will do a great job for the team, he's been in good form of late and has an important role to play for us. It's a real boost ahead of facing Poole."

Meanwhile Pirates have suffered the loss of Chris Holder who was hurt riding for Torun in the Polish League on Sunday and they will use the rider replacement facility.

Monmore track specialists Scott Nicholls (for Krzysztof Buczkowski) and Nicolai Klindt (Hans Andersen) have been called in as guest riders for the visitors with Bjarne Pedersen remaining in the reserve spot.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren, Peter Karlsson, Tai Woffinden, Jacob Thorssell, Sam Masters, Max Clegg, Kyle Howarth.

POOLE: Chris Holder R/R, Adam Ellis, Scott Nicholls, Brady Kurtz, Nicolai Klindt, Bjarne Pedersen, Kyle Newman.
