It was a convincing display from Will Pottinger's side to comfortably dispose of the visitors in emphatic style – just a few weeks after they needed a last-heat decider to overcome the same opponents in the Knockout Cup.

Terrific top two Ashley Morris and Max Clegg both went unbeaten by an opposing rider for the second straight home meeting as the Heathens delivered 13 race winners.

Morris set the tone with a comprehensive win in heat one, and his only real challenge came as he battled past former Cradley man Ellis Perks in the early stages of heat 10.

Clegg was also in imperious form, clocking the fastest time of the night in heat seven as he prevailed over the battling Perks.

Luke Chessell grew in confidence as the night progressed after emerging from his opening ride with a paid win behind team-mate Ben Basford having survived a big moment on the third lap.

He narrowly missed out on a paid maximum as Perks gated in heat 12 to deliver the visitors their first race win. Basford, making his return from injury, also made a big impact at reserve, winning his opening two rides.

Richard Andrews produced arguably the ride of the night as he blasted around Shelby Rutherford to hit the front on the opening lap of heat eight.

Cradley: Ashley Morris 15, Max Clegg 13+2, Luke Chessell 10+1, Richard Andrews 8+1, Ben Basford 8+1, Bradley Andrews 2+1, Layne Cupitt 2, James Purchase R/R.

Buxton: Ellis Perks 8, Shelby Rutherford 7+2, Lee Dicken 6, Ryan Blacklock 5+1, Lee Geary 4, William O'Keefe 2+1, Kean Dicken 0, David Speight R/R.
