The Parrys International Wolves followed up their win at Coventry earlier in the month with a terrific display on another circuit where they had been hit for 60 points last season.

Wolves made a dream start with Joonas Kylmakorpi and Sam Masters racing to a 5-1 over home skipper Jason Doyle in the opening race.

Confidence clearly flowed through the visitors in the early stages with the Robins riders obviously unhappy with a rather choppy surface, and they extended their lead with 4-2s in Heats 3 and 4.

Jacob Thorssell won his first outing with Mikkel Bech inheriting third place when Nick Morris fell on the last bend.

Kyle Howarth dominated heat four and Freddie Lindgren retrieved third place after being squeezed out on the first lap.

It got even better in heat six as Bech made a fast start and Kylmakorpi quickly rounded Josh Grajczonek to put Wolves into a 12-point lead.

Masters made it three unbeaten rides in heat eight as Wolves went 31-17 up.

The Robins threatened a comeback with a 5-1 in heat 10 from Morris and Grajczonek and that put a great deal of pressure on the next race with Doyle going for double.

But Thorssell held his nerve superbly and conjured a flying start from the inside gate to head the Australian Grand Prix star and limit Swindon to a 5-3.

Bech split Doyle and Morris in heat 13 leaving the Robins needing two 5-1s to snatch an unlikely win – but Lindgren produced a ride of true class in heat 14 to secure victory.

Swindon 44: Charles Wright 15+2, Jason Doyle 14, Josh Grajczonek 8+1, Nick Morris 4, Justin Sedgmen 2, Stefan Nielsen 1+1, Rohan Tungate 0.

Wolverhampton 48: Freddie Lindgren 10, Kyle Howarth 9+1, Sam Masters 8+1, Jacob Thorssell 7+1, Joonas Kylmakorpi 6+1, Mikkel Bech 6, Ashley Morris 2+2.
