The 20-year-old Lakeside asset was going to give the season a miss, but changed his mind when the Heathens came calling.

Club bosses pressed ahead with the deal once they got confirmation that James Purchase's starting average will be 3.5 – leaving enough room for Kingston under the 40-point limit.

The former Mildenhall man joins Max Clegg, Ashley Morris, Luke Chessell, James Purchase and Bradley Andrews with just one spot left to fill.

The 20-year-old has shown flashes of his potential and will arrive on a 5.84 average.

He said: "I didn't intend on riding this season, to be honest, but getting approached by a club like Cradley was an opportunity I couldn't turn down really.

"After a couple of years in the National League I'm hoping I can finally kick on.

"I've seen the way the likes of Max Clegg, Paul Starke and Ashley Morris have all improved riding for the club.

"All of them are brilliant riders, and I think a lot of that is down to riding for Cradley."
