Amercian duo on the way to Wolverhampton
American speedway legends Sam Ermolenko and Ronnie Correy will take a step back in time when they are reunited on stage in Wolverhampton next February.
'Sudden Sam' and 'Rocket Ronnie' formed a formidable partnership for Wolverhampton over many years and they are two of the most popular riders ever to race for the famous Monmore Green club.
Now they are set to pack the Cleveland Arms, Stow Heath Lane, which is close by their former home track on Wednesday February 25.
The event takes place just days before the 2015 speedway season is launched and is the latest in a series of successful sporting nights at the venue.
Correy said: "I'm really looking forward to this, it will be so cool to catch up with a lot of old friends and Sam and me will have lots to talk about.
"My time with Wolverhampton was amazing. I raced for other clubs but Wolverhampton was my home."
Ermolenko first joined the club in 1986 and Correy followed a year later. Both went on to enjoy glittering careers for both club and country.
The evening will be hosted by popular Wolverhampton presenter Ian 'Porky' Jones and team manager Peter Adams will be the guest speaker, with hilarious stories for the audience to enjoy.
Tickets are just £6 or two for £10 available from the venue on 01902 451021 or their website www.clevelandarms.com.
Limited VIP tickets are available at £20 which includes a buffet, photograph with Sam and Ronnie signed on the night, and priority seating.
