Wolverhampton duo to miss speedway clash

Talented youngsters Jacob Thorssell and Piotr Pawlicki will miss tonight's trip to Lakeside for Wolverhampton.

Both riders are involved in World under-21 action and Birmingham skipper Danny King will deputise for Pawlicki with the rider replacement facility in operation for Thorssell.

Lakeside have snapped up King's Lynn's Rory Schlein as a guest for the injured Davey Watt in the No.1 slot.

Parrys International Wolves are looking to get some points on the board after missing out at Poole on Wednesday.

Skipper Tai Woffinden said: "Obviously it's going to be tough without Piotr and Jacob but we still have a good team to go there. Danny King is a quality performer.

"We will all need to be on form and hopefully we can get something from the meeting."

Wolverhampton are back at Monmore on Monday for the visit of Coventry in a mouthwatering local derby.
