Peter Adams delighted as Wolves beat Lakeside at Monmore
Wolves team boss Peter Adams was thrilled to see his side get back to winning ways with a hard-fought 48-42 win over Lakeside.
Adams' men overcame a tough test having trailed the Hammers for much of the meeting – and he was delighted to see them preserve their unbeaten home record despite another night of toil for Tai Woffinden.
And Adams believes the side will take some beating when the world champion returns to his brilliant best.
"They are a very good team, Lakeside, and I'm happy with the win," said Adams.
"I know we need to score all the points at home, but when you take everything into consideration including Tai's four-point return it's a very good win.
"Pawlicki was the star of the show – it was another sensational performance from him – but everyone else dug deep to make sure we came away with the win.
"The signs are hugely encouraging for us, because even with our No.1 struggling we are still performing well and winning meetings.
"We know Tai isn't going to be riding like this all season long, and when he gets his problems sorted then I think this team will take some beating.
"I expect Poole to be stiff opposition here at Monmore next Monday, but we will just keep going and try to get all three points.
'We've had some tough meetings now but we still haven't lost at home yet this season."
