Club bosses are also planning an announcement regarding the search for a permanent home closer to the Dudley and Cradley area, with reverting to the old Cradley Heathens name high on the agenda.

The Heathens, who stage their home meetings at Wolverhampton's Monmore Green, are set to stay in the National League next year to defend their title and will unveil their first new signing tomorrow as they bid to continue their success story.

Since returning to the sport four seasons ago, the Heathens have topped the National League table three times and this year ended their search for title glory when they battled through the play-offs to lift the crown.

On top of that, the Heathens also lifted the Knockout Cup.

Cradley Heathens stopped racing in 1995 when their Dudley Wood stadium was sold for housing.
