An Evening with Wolves rider Tai Woffinden
Wolves ace Tai Woffinden will tell the tale of his world championship season to a big audience of fans in Wolverhampton tomorrow night.
The 23-year-old became Britain's first world kingpin since Mark Loram in 2000 – despite breaking his collarbone TWICE in Grand Prix events.
He rode through the pain to clinch the title on a memorable night competing in Torun, Poland last month.
He finished the season nine points clear of home hope Jarek Hampel with Denmark's Niels-Kristian Iversen third.
The rider will be on stage at the Cleveland Arms pub on Stowheath Lane at 8pm - doors open 7pm - for 'An Evening With Tai Woffinden.'
It will be hosted by television and radio broadcaster Nigel Pearson and features a raffle and auction, including exclusive Woffinden merchandise.
All advance tickets for the event have been sold, although a few will be made available on the door and in advance. For more information, call 01902 451 021.
Fans are also being urged to raise speedway's profile by campaigning for Woffinden to be included in the race for the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year award.
They can also vote for him in the Rider of the Year contest run by world motorcycling's governing body, the FIM, at www.fim-live.com
