Wolverhampton Speedway have postponed tomorrow's Banks's Olympique individual meeting at Monmore due to a waterlogged track.

The event will not be restaged this season but provisional plans are in place to launch the 2014 season with the meeting on Monday, March 17.

This would also give Wolves' new world champion Tai Woffinden the opportunity to be included in the showpiece as he was due to sit out tomorrow following surgery to his broken collarbone.

Several days of heavy rain have left the track waterlogged and with more forecast overnight and on Tuesday an early decision has been taken to minimise inconvenience to everyone.

Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: "The weather and the forecast does not give us the opportunity to produce a racing surface this prestigious meeting deserves.

"Wolverhampton Speedway would like to thank all our fans for their wonderful support throughout the 2013 season and we look forward to seeing you all next March."
