Tai Woffinden goes for speedway world championship glory

Woffinden could wrap up the title at tonight's Scandinavian Grand Prix in Sweden with a round still to go.

And the personable 23-year-old is hoping he has the formula to become Britain's first world champion for 13 years.

He said: "I've been doing all sorts of things with my training. What I have been doing is for me to know and other people to find out. I don't want to tell everyone otherwise they'll do it next year.

"If I can do anything to give myself an advantage, I'll keep hush-hush about it. I have changed a lot of things. Things are working professionally and personally. I've put in the effort to find out what works for me.

"I don't want to tell everyone because you don't have a long career in speedway and I'll keep it to myself, but good luck to everyone else trying to find out!"

Wolves asset and Dudley captain Ashley Morris finished runner-up to Stefan Nielsen in the British Under-19 championship at Coventry last night.
