Wolves speedway slash season ticket prices
Wolves speedway club owner Chris Van Straaten today confirmed they have slashed the price of adult season tickets to £250 for 2013.
The decision to reduce prices was made after British Speedway's annual meeting and the cancellation of next year's Knockout Cup competition by the Elite League.
It will mean a saving of £45 on the 2012 adult season price of £295 and Van Straaten claimed it was "common sense" to pass the saving back to the Wolves supporters.
He said: "It was the right call to make after the decision to shelve the Knockout Cup that we cut prices accordingly and give that back to the fans.
"We value our supporters and a bit of common sense was required. I think it works out at roughly the same price per match for official fixtures although that does not necessarily mean a reduction in the amount of speedway that takes place."
Wolves will be holding their winter 'Talk-In' on Monday, December 3, at the Chillington WMC. Bosses Peter Adams and Van Straaten will be on hand to answer questions from supporters (7.30pm).
Season ticket prices: Adult – £250; concession – £175; junior (aged 12-16) – £60; children (aged 6-11) – £10.
