Wolves speedway star Tai Woffinden has been told he will be sidelined for a further four weeks following a wrist operation.

The 21-year-old underwent an operation in Nottingham yesterday for a screw to be put into the scaphoid bone in his right wrist, broken in a fall during the Gary Peterson Memorial meeting on May 14.

A four-week absence would mean him missing half-a-dozen Wolves matches, possibly returning for the home clash with Elite League champions Poole on June 25.
