Mark Lewis-Francis' Olympic dream was still alive today ahead of the Aviva 2012 Trials 100m semi-finals.

The 29-year-old Darlaston Dart was second in 10.62s behind fellow 2004 Olympic relay gold medallist Marlon Devonish – who won in 10.50s in his heat at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium last night.

The top two, plus the next eight fastest, from the heats qualified for today's semi-finals with Lewis-Francis still looking to hit the Olympic qualifying 'A' standard of 10.18s.

Drugs cheat Dwain Chambers, who can qualify for the Games after his lifetime Olympic ban was lifted this year, won his heat in 10.34s.

Tamworth's Nathan Woodward won his 400m hurdles heat in 50.34s.

Tipton Harriers' Neil Burton finished 15th in the 10,000m.

Olympic champion Christine Ohuruogu easily made the 400m final in 52.14s while world champion Dai Greene won his 400m hurdle heat in 50.80s.
