Liam McDonald signs a new Rushall Olympic deal
Liam McDonald is to take charge of Rushall Olympic for a fifth season after agreeing to extend his contract.
The former Solihull Moors and Hednesford Town boss became manager of the Pics in October 2017, turning them into play-off contenders.
The coronavirus pandemic has curtailed the past two campaigns, and McDonald is eager to push for promotion from the Southern Central Premier in 2021/22.
“I am extremely pleased to agree this new deal with the club,” he said. “It’s been a tough 12 months both on and off-the-pitch, but I wanted to sign this extension because my coaching staff and I are so happy here.
“We’ve watched things grow and progress since the day we first set foot in the place. It feels very much my club and my home and the family feel around the whole place is so special.
“We’re also extremely fortunate to have such a great facility here at Dales Lane; attendances are on the increase and there is plenty to be positive about as we look to keep pushing on.
“I’m already well into the process of getting a competitive squad together for next season.
“We’ve been in and around the leading pack in each of the last two incomplete seasons and we want to keep punching above our weight and moving forward.”
