St Johns cashed in on Pelsall’s 3-2 reverse at Willenhall Liberal Club by beating Bloxwich Memorial B 5-0 to move two points clear in the Premier Division.

Pelsall took the opening frame against Willenhall through Scott Tapper before Adrian Rosa continued his recent good form to level with an excellent break of 72.

Nathan Wood (35) put the hosts ahead and Andy Price then looked set to secure the win when he rolled in a break of 48 against Paul Harrison. But Harrison battled back to take the frame on the black and force a decider.

A tense shootout then went the way of Willenhall’s Lee Bannister on the final black.

St Johns SC eased to victory at Bloxwich as Jack Harris, Kane Grigg and Jamie Harris took the first three frames before Steve Barton and Robbie James, with breaks of 40 and 44 respectively, completed the whitewash.

At the other end of the table, Landywood SC A dropped into the bottom two after a narrow 3-2 loss at home to side Sedgley WMC.

Richard Davies impressed for Sedgley with a break of 60, with Rich Lampitt and Shaun Edwards also winning for the visitors. Scott Robinson and Dave Turner replied.

Aldridge Cons A are now five points from safety at the foot of the table after going down 4-1 at Stafford Road A.

Neil Gould, Daniel Ward, Gary Haynes and Danny Ludgate (38) did the damage for the hosts before Kieron Doogan took the final frame.

Aldridge Cons B moved three points clear at the top of Division One thanks to a 3-2 triumph at title-rivlas Poets Corner.

Tony Walker, Shaun Doughty and Rich Parker saw the visitors to victory. Pommy Kang and Mark Archer won for the hosts.

Aldridge Social are looking the top two’s most likely challengers in the race for promotion.

They sit three points behind second place following a 3-2 away win at Pelsall Social B.

Stewart Jones took the opener for the hosts before the visitors hit back through Matt Warrilow, Rob Brown and Jake Vardy to secure victory. Pelsall’s Bob Foster took the final frame of the night.

Athenaeum Club have pulled themselves into mid-table safety after moving seven points clear of the bottom two with a 4-1 home win against Bentley Moor B.

The opening two frames were extremely close, but they were taken by the home side’s Matty Sargent and Jason Fletcher.

Steven Fletcher then made the match safe before the visitors finally got themselves on the scoreboard through Russ Maine. Dave Garratt picked up the final frame on the final black to wrap up an important win for his side.

Old Hall SC B are setting the pace in Division Two.

They are four points clear at the top of thanks to a hard-fought 3-2 home success against Golden Cue B.

Nathan Edwards and Steve Morris put the leaders two up only for Hasib Hussain and Majid Hussain to hit back and level. Tom Hurst then played a solid final frame to earn the hosts another important win.

Dave Wilkinson took the opener for the hosts before Lee Dennant made it 1-1.

Gary Hall and Ian Shaw then both won on the black before Peggy James rounded off an excellent night for Birchills.

Old Hall A are just two points back in third following a 4-1 win at Lichfield Road BC - Nick Friend, Brad Peach, Mick Neill and Anthony Harris did the damage.

Landywood SC B picked up a 5-0 success away to Rushall Labour B to move to within three points of the final promotion spot.
