Prescott claims senior success
Peter Prescott has claimed another Wolverhampton Seniors Bowls League Individual Merit title.
The Willenhall Trinity bowler, who won the competition in 2016 came out on top in the battle for glory on the Sedgley Working Men’s green.
Prescott overcame Amery’s Peter Tonks, 21-15, in a high-quality final.
The game was a very close affair with some excellent bowling resulting in the score being 15 across at the 22nd end. But Prescott then put together a winning run, picking up the required six shots to clinch the title.
Prescott had earlier beaten Graham Cox (Sedgley-Ex) 21-11 in the semi-final, while Tonks had beaten Lol Ellis (Penn) 21-6.
