Keiron Cliff is the top man as Brereton Social book final spot

A superb individual display from Keiron Cliff fired Brereton Social through to the final of the Cannock League’s Division One Cup.

Hot-shot Cliff blasted a four-goal salvo to see Social to a 5-3 success against the Littleton Arms.

Alfie Johnson added to Cliff’s haul in an entertaining clash that saw Littleton reply through Wayne Durnall, Kai Lycett and Stuart Russell.

Cresswell Wanderers will provide the final opposition for Social after they edged out Sporting Burntwood 3-2.

Two goals from Tom Green and one from Sam Lawrence saw Wanderers through. Ben Derbyshire and Bailey Woodhams replied.

AFC Windmill and Hen House are also looking forward to a final shootout in the Subsidiary Cup.

Windmill were in fine form as they blew Hawkins Sports away, 6-2.

Jamie Dodds led the victory charge with a hat-trick while Matt Thompson struck twice and Scott Dryburgh once.

Hawkins replied through David Swindell and Dan Dines.

Hen House had to work harder for their final spot, finally edging out Bridge Inn 4-2 on penalties.

The tie had ended 1-1, with Jordan Holmes scoring for Bridge and Charlie Butler for Hen House.

It was high fives all round for AFC Essington’s Ben Harris in the midweek Division Two League Cup quarter-final with Hawkins Sports, netting all five of his side’s goal in their 5-2 win.

Sports Bar are also through to the last four after two goals from Toby Phillips helped them to a 3-1 triumph over AFC Cheslyn Hay.

The midweek league action saw Cheslyn Hay boost their Division One promotion hopes with a thrilling 5-4 success at Wolves Sporting.

Norton Canes beat Victoria 2-1 with Michael Fletcher and James Baker on the mark.

AFC Cheslyn Hay took another step towards securing the Division Two title with a 4-0 home win against Hen House.

Jack Thomas, Taylor Evans, Kyan Hill and Dylan Hill provided the goals.

Harrisons and BB FC drew 2-2. Aiden Justin and Jack O’Brien notched for Harrisons but their efforts were cancelled out by Ryan Greathead and Chris Moore.

Premier Suite and AFC Windmill also shared four goals and the points.

Premier’s goals came from Dave Blakeley and Dave Hilditch, while Matt Thompson grabbed a brace in reply.

Sunday’s league encounters saw AFC Greenheath move four points clear at the top of Division One following a 4-1 win at Norton Canes.

Ben Pugh, Tom Monaghan, Tom Pugh and Ad Lyons were the men on target for Greenheath.

But second-placed Sporting Burntwood still remain favourites for the title as they hold four games in hand on the leaders.

Wolves Sporting were edged out 2-1 at home by Cresswell Wanderers.

Glenn Wellings struck for the hosts, but goals from Rhys Potts and Tom Green won it for Wanderers.

There was just one clash in Division Two, and that saw BB FC win 5-3 at Brinsford.
