With two games of the season remaining, leaders Tivi know they could clinch the West Midlands Premier Division crown with a victory, if second-placed Haughmond fail to win at Wellington.

But King is under no illusions as to the challenge which awaits his team at Rangers, who topped the table during the early weeks of the season.

The nomadic club, who were once tenants at Tivi’s Packwood Road ground but now play at Gornal’s Garden Walk, have since fallen off the pace.

Yet they remain capable of naming a strong starting XI and King will tell his players to take nothing for granted.

He said: “They’ve got a big squad and some very talented players. They could put out a very strong team and we must be ready for that.

“Obviously they were the pacesetters at the start of the season. I’ve got huge respect for their chairman, Paul Garner and the job he does there. We know we will be in for a tough game.”

King’s men made progress in the League Cup in midweek thanks to a penalty shootout success against Dudley Town.

Wednesfield will continue their push for a top three finish at home to Bilston Town Community.

Danny Carter’s side will kick off in fifth position but with games in hand on third-placed Wolverhampton Casuals, who travel to Pershore, and Malvern, who are fourth.

Darlaston Town face a huge game in Division One as the race for glory hots up.

Second-placed Town host leaders Worcester Raiders, who are a point clear. Both teams have three games to play.
