Boss Louis Sowe picked up the January award and then saw his charges kick off February with another commanding performance and three more points.

The New Saints Ladies were the latest side on the receiving end of the in-form Baggies as they were swept aside 4-1.

Sowe’s charges had to come from behind to claim their latest success after Zoe Griffiths had fired TNS into a ninth-minute lead.

But the Baggies brushed aside that early setback and started to dominate proceedings.

And they were level before half-time courtesy of a fourth goal in seven games from centre-half Hannah Baines. She reacted quickest to smash the ball past TNS keeper Sarah Parkes following a free-kick from Hannah George.

The hosts upped the ante after the break with Jess Davies dictating matters and their pressure finally told with strikes from Laura Davies and Keeley Davies putting them firmly in charge.

Jess Davies then capped a fine game by chipped Saints’ keeper Parkes in the dying minutes to secure a 4-1 victory.

The win extend Albion’s perfect league record to 12 from 12 and saw them extended their lead over arch-rivals Wolves at the top of the table to nine points.

Sowe was quick to heap praise on his players and staff after lifting his award.

He said: “I’m delighted to win this award, I’m lucky to be surrounded by talented players and staff who support me.

“We’ve had an excellent month and season so far, but we must stay grounded and keep improving to meet our targets.”

Albion are in FA WNL Plate action on Sunday when they head north to tackle Barnsley.

Wolves resume their league programme with a home derby against Birmingham City.

The Blues are sitting third, two points behind Wolves but having played two more games. Sporting Khalsa are away to FC Nettleham.

Louis Sowe has been named the FA Women’s National League Manager of the Month Division One Category for January after maintaining Albion’s unbeaten league start to the year.

The Baggies have chalked up three league victories from three to remain top of the table including a recent 2-0 home scalp in the Black Country derby over second-placed Wolves – whilst racking up an impressive seven goals in the process and recording two clean-sheets.
