Tai Woffinden, centre, toasts his third world championship alongside Bartosz Zmarzlik and fellow former Wolves star Freddie Lindgren.

The Wolves icon is set for his first unplugged night of chat at the Cleveland Arms on Wednesday, November 21.

Woffinden, who clinched a record third world title for a Brit in Torun a week ago, is renowned for his brutal honesty behind the microphone. It will be hosted by BT Sport, Sky Sports and Talksport commentator Nigel Pearson, who expects another cracking night of entertainment.

He said: “When we had three events with Tai before the start of the season in Berwick and Halifax, he told the sold out crowds he would win the World Championship. He’s a man of his word! Anyone who has attended these nights with Tai will know he doesn’t hold back, he wears his heart on his sleeve.

“This is an exclusive chance to hear him talk about the highs and lows of a record-breaking season. You will hear the stories he doesn’t say on TV.

“It will be fascinating to hear his thoughts about the controversial moments of 2018 and, of course, that incredible night in Torun a week ago. Tai is pure Hollywood, arguably the greatest asset speedway has ever had for publicity. It is incredible to see what media attention he has generated over the past week.

“It proves that with the right success story and the right personality, speedway is very attractive to the national press.

“It’s been a great season for the sport. Some outstanding racing on BT Sport, a Premiership Play-Off that went down to the wire and a history-making third British world title for Woffy. There certainly won’t be a dull moment when he gets talking!”

Tickets will be on sale at the Wolverhampton track shop tonight and are also on sale at: clevelandarms.com, 01902 451021 or from the venue direct on Stow Heath Lane WV1 2QN.
