The Badgers, of the Midland League Division One, welcome one-tier-above Highgate United to Silkmore Lane in the first round.

And Weldon insists all the pressure is on the visitors.

“If we can progress, that’s great. There’s no great pressure on our lads going into the game. The pressure is on Highgate,” he said.

“We did well in the competition last year so the lads are all looking forward to it.

“The message to them is ‘go out there, enjoy the game and make sure you express yourselves’.

“If they do that, do themselves justice, that’s all I can ask for.”

Brocton are going into the clash in high spirits as they have pulled off upsets before.

They beat United Counties Premier side Kirby Muxloe two rounds ago and made it to the second round last year.

Weldon has a vast array of options at his disposal too.

He added: “I’ve got plenty of options, lads fighting for places.

“We’ve got quite a strong squad with a lot of depth so I’m fortunate.”

Sporting Khalsa, who made it to the quarter-finals two seasons ago, are up against Winsford United at the Aspray Arena.

After their Staffordshire Senior Cup exit at Wolverhampton Casuals, Darren Byfield’s Walsall Wood go to Smethwick.

Lye Town host Chelmsley Town while AFC Wulfrunians head to Westfields.

Black Country Rangers are aiming to continue their stunning form as they travel to Hucknall Town.

Rangers are unbeaten after 11 games in the West Midlands Premier.

Wednesfield – reeling after an 8-0 thrashing at the hands of Tividale, in the league, on Tuesday night – are aiming to bounce back as they make the trip to Coventry United.

Bewdley Town are at Shepshed Dynamo.

Bustleholme are looking to do West Midlands League Division One proud as they take on NKF Burbage at York Road.

The hosts go into the encounter 16th out of the division’s 17 teams. Burbage are fourth in Midland Division One – a level higher.
