The contest was staged on Becketts Pool at Coppice Lane Pools in Hammerwich and Elcock (Cashmores MG) claimed the individual glory with 41-12-8 – and helped his team to victory.

Steve Beard (FOU WMP) followed with 40-11-0 while Chris Edwards (Beaufort) took third with 27-11-8.

Cashmores MG took the team honours with seven points, five clear of Beaufort.

Bank Pool at Moorlands Farm in Hartlebury was the venue for the latest Parkes Hall AC bout where the top three all caught carp to 10lb.

Dudley’s Steve Warmer secured a comfortable win with an impressive 167-13-0 top weight, gathered on poled pellet in the margins of peg 26.

Runner-up Stephen Worton netted 109-10-0 at peg 16, with Les Harris bagging third place (89-8-0).

Halesowen’s Lawrie Mulheron left his club-mates trailing as he landed the spoils in the Cradley Heath Labour AC match of the River Severn in Arley.

The retired maintenance surveyor weighed in 39-15-0, which consisted of half-a-dozen barbel to 8lb and one chub caught on the pellet feeder at peg 12. Mulheron also won £100 from winning on the bonus peg.

Second place went to Paul Skidmore with Steve Horton completing the top three.
