Sam Norton has accepted the role of first team coach at the Midlands League outfit. He will be joined by Matthew Skinner as assistant manager and Alex Molloy as joint goalkeeper and first team coach.

Chairman Brian Townsend paid tribute to Berks, who ‘has done a professional job’ over the last three years’.

Berks will remain with the club as a player, which he is how started out.

Townsend said: “We would like to thank him for the commitment and devotion he has shown and we are hopeful that David will finish his playing career with us and pass on his experience to the younger players that are coming through the club’s youth system.”

Norton joined the club in 2013 and successfully developed an under-17, under-18 and under-21 side and went on to win the county cup in 2016 as head coach. Skinner joined Brocton in 2007 and played 320 senior games – including as captain –- before retiring this year. Molloy joined Brocton this season as goalkeeping coach.

The club will give the new management team their full support.
