Wolves now go through to the fourth qualifying round after a 3-2 win at Loughborough University Stadium.

Wolves were ahead after just five minutes when Jen Anslow's free-kick from the edge of the box eluded everyone and found the net.

Loughborough levelled inside a minute, but relentless attacking by Wolves brought its reward in the 21st minute, an Anslow free-kick again key.

Anslow's delivery came back off a post and Vicky Brackenbury ended the resultant goalmouth scramble by tapping the ball home against her former club.

The visitors continued to pile on the pressure, and seven minutes later scored their third when captain Anna Perks headed in from a corner, giving them a two-goal cushion at the break.

Loughborough showed plenty of spirit in the second half, creating a host of chances and hitting both bar and post.

Wolves kept them out until the 86th minute when a successful Loughborough penalty produced a tense final few minutes. But the visitors held on.

Gornal Ladies FC join Wolves in the next round after a 2-1 derby success at Stourbridge Ladies.

The visitors went ahead after just four minutes. Beth Arrowsmith swung in a free-kick which was palmed out by the keeper only for skipper Sarah Hamill-Moss to score with an acrobatic overhead kick from close range.

Nine minutes later, Gornal grabbed a second. Hamill-Moss met Rachel Letford's near-post cross with a looping header which bounced off the bar and was side-footed in by Kirsty Dixon.

A late penalty halved the deficit and a minute from time Dixon headed a Stourbridge effort off the line.
