Silver lining at Warstones Primary
Warstones Primary School's netball team completed a fabulous season by claiming the runners-up spot in the Black Country Games Mixed Netball High Five Tournament.
After battling their way through to the final, Warstones were edged out 5-4 by Wollescote Primary.
The team silver put the seal on an impressive campaign that saw Warstones win all of the tournaments in Wolverhampton.
They claimed High Five Girls, High Five Mixed and a joint success with St Stephens in the seven-a-side mixed event.
All of the children, who received coaching during the season from volunteers Mandy Smith and Jodie Welch, have also attended netball club every week throughout the year.
Warstones teacher Pam Humphrey was delighted with the success and said: "Warstones Primary staff see sport as a really important part of their curriculum.
"Many sports also take place outside of the school day. I would like to thank Mandy and Jodie Welch for their help."
