Dudley's Reanne Evans has clinched the Ladies World Snooker Championship trophy for a record 11th time.

She beat Hong Kong star Ng On Yee 6-4 in a closely contested final at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.

Evans took the opening frame but On Yee, who brought the Black Country queen of the baize's 10-year competition reign to an end last year, was 3-2 up at the interval.

Evans then drew level, but On Yee edged back ahead. It looked as if there could be a decider for the first time in the final of the competition since 1989, but Evans held her nerve and won three frames in a row to claim the crown.

Also, Bearwood's Sharon Kaur reached the final of the Seniors, but lost 3-0 to India's Chitra Maharmairaj.
