Aaron Rai and Richard Mansell return to action
West Midlands golf stars Aaron Rai and Richard Mansell were today battling to reach the third round of the Kenya Savannah Classic at Karen Country Club in Nairobi.
Wolverhampton’s Rai and Staffordshire’s Mansell were locked together on one under par after both enduring up-and-down opening rounds – six shots off the lead.
Rai, who started his round at the 10th, had scored three birdies and a bogey when he suffered a double bogey on the par-three fourth – but recovered to pick up another shot two holes later.
Mansell was well placed at three under through the back nine, having also started at the 10th, but dropped two shots on his run to home.
