Wolves players turn video stars to raise dementia awareness
Two players from Wolves have appeared in new video to raise awareness of dementia.
The first team players Richard Stearman and Joe Mason have appeared in the video, talking about the growing issue of dementia and how it will affect us all at some point in our lives.
The central theme of the video is how dementia doesn’t care who you are as it is set to become the 21st century’s biggest killer.
Now, the players are encouraging people to unite against the condition and pledge their own support to help.
Stearman said: "Dementia devastates lives and so many are facing it alone without support.
"It's said to be the 21st century's biggest killer with someone developing it every three minutes.
"It's time to forget our differences and come together to urgently find a cure, improve care and offer support and understanding."

Mason added: "Dementia doesn't care who you are.
"The condition affects not just the sufferer, but many more people, including family members, carers and colleagues.
"Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity who create lasting change for people with dementia."
Lee Allen, services manager for Alzheimer’s Society in Walsall and Wolverhampton said: “I would like to thank Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club in particular players Richard Stearman, Joe Mason and the football club Sponsors JJX Logistics for uniting with us against dementia.
"Working with a big sporting organisation such as Wolves will help to raise awareness across the city which is important to ensure that people are aware of the help, support and information that is available to them.”
JJX Logistics, a Black Country company and a sponsor of Wolves, is backing the Alzheimer’s Society and has helped with the creation of the video.
Mick Cox, operations manager for JJX Logistics said: “JJX Logistics are proud to support the Alzheimer’s Society in the fight against dementia and raise awareness of this terrible illness.
"Please come and help JJX Logistics in this cause by supporting our charity football match 7pm Kick Off at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday, May 14 2017.”
Alzheimer’s Society recently launched a campaign on April 24 2017 called United Against Dementia and this has brought together former World Cup stars Sir Geoff Hurst and Gordon Banks OBE with celebrities such as Meera Syal and Jo Brand in order to take action in the fight against dementia.
The video has been released ahead of Dementia Awareness Week. It is due to appear on Alzheimer’s Society’s West Midlands Facebook page too.
