Mario Lemina hit the headlines following his refusal to be selected for Wolves' trip to Newcastle on Wednesday night.

The Gabon international, who was stripped of the captaincy last month by then boss Gary O'Neil informed Vitor Pereira he was not available for selection just minutes before the team set off to Tyneside - a game they subsequently lost 3-0.

Pereira told the media following the defeat about the uncomfortable circumstances surrounding the shock late-withdrawal and declared that the team were better off having players that wanted to fight and help club.

A media and fan backlash towards Lemina followed before the player sensationally performed a U-turn on Friday apologising to Pereira and his teammates while making himself available for selection at Stamford Bridge.

Whether Lemina is in the squad for the game remains to be seen, but should Lemina be forgiven for his actions?

Or has the damage been done already?

Wolves currently sit above the bottom three on goal difference.

Lemina lost the captaincy in December following  a scuffle with Jarrod Bowen at the end of the 2-1 loss to West Ham, before pushing team-mate Toti Gomes and then going head-to-head with then first team coach Shaun Derry.
