Gary O'Neil: Enso Gonzalez working to get up to speed for Wolves
Gary O’Neil says Enso Gonzalez has settled in well at Wolves but believes the teenager is still a long way off impacting the Premier League.
The 18-year-old joined from Paraguayan side Libertad at the end of the summer window for £5million on a six-year contract.
Gonzalez has yet to feature for the first team but has played once for the under-21s, and O’Neil says the winger still has plenty to do to get up to full speed.
“He still needs a lot of work, as expected,” O’Neil said.
“People may listen to that or read it and think it’s a negative, but it isn’t. It’s just where he is.
“It’s to be expected, he’s a young lad. The Premier League is the top level and he needs a lot of work and we’re trying to get it into him as quickly as we can.
