Dave Edwards: Any money from Matheus Nunes must be spent on Wolves squad
If Matheus Nunes goes to Manchester City, it is absolutely imperative that Wolves use that money to strengthen their squad.
It looks as if the deal will be done this week and you can understand from his perspective what an opportunity it is for him to play for the best team in the world and to play under Pep.
But Wolves will have to make sure the deal is right and more importantly, they need to make sure it is wrapped up as quickly as possible.
They do not want to be taking it too deep into the last few hours of the window.
They need to get that fee, up front and paid for so they can go and get some replacements.
I feel a bit 50/50 on it. Wolves obviously need that money but at the same time, although Nunes has been inconsistent in a Wolves shirt he is the only player who has that X-factor who can make something happen from nothing.
