Dave Edwards: A bad result – but Wolves are creating real chances

The statistics are there for everyone to see, this is a different Wolves team despite defeat against Brighton.

They created more chances and of course they need to be more clinical, but if they keep creating this number of chances they will score more goals, even with the same personnel.

There is a little bit of a lack of confidence that is part of the reason why they aren’t scoring more goals, and I really do think that will change.

Gary O’Neil and the fans who were at Molineux should take a lot of heart and confidence from the fact Wolves are getting into those positions.

When I break the game down I feel it was a very equal opening 45 minutes against a top Brighton team. Wolves played a Manchester United side that hasn’t started the season well, but will still be near the top of the table, and a Brighton team that will also be up there – and Wolves went toe-to-toe with them.
