From Steve Bull to John Richards, Molineux has hosted special goalscorers across the years that have paved the way for those to come.

Raul Jimenez may not be remembered as a club legend like Bully or King John, but his impact on the modern era should be applauded – and he is arguably the best striker to play for the club since those glory days.

Initially arriving on loan from Benfica in 2018, the Mexican quickly found his feet in the Premier League with a debut goal against Everton at Molineux to hand his side a point on the opening day of the season, on the club’s long-awaited return to the top flight.

It was a match made in heaven and the striker’s statistics speak for themselves.

He managed 17 goals in all competitions in 2018/19 and followed that up with 27 in 2019/20, after a £32million club record move, as Wolves charged through the stages of the Europa League.

Much of his career had been spent as a bench-warmer – someone playing second fiddle to a main striker – but at Wolves, Jimenez became the main man.
