Wolves captain Conor Coady has been included, alongside Baggies goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

For Villa, they have a trio of players who made the team – captain Jack Grealish, Tyrone Mings and Ollie Watkins.

Stourbridge-born Jude Bellingham, who plays for Borussia Dortmund, has also been included.

Gareth Southgate has named a 33-man squad which will be trimmed down to the final 26 on June 1 – meaning the players must wait a week to find out if they will make the final squad.

Coady is seen as an important part of the leadership structure at England, but after a difficult season for Wolves it remains to be seen if he will make the final squad.

After an injury to Nick Pope, Johnstone is in a good position to be included next week, with Sheffield United's Aaron Ramsdale named as the fourth goalkeeper.

The trio of Villa stars have also been tipped to make the final squad.

Elsewhere there are first senior call-ups for Brighton centre-back Ben White and Everton defender Ben White while Manchester United teenager Mason Greenwood has been recalled for the first time since being sent home after his debut in Iceland.

Eric Dier misses out, but Alexander-Arnold returns to the group alongside fellow right-backs Reece James, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker.
