The midfielder is currently on-loan at Swiss side Grasshopper and has been an important figure for them this season, making 32 appearances.

The Zurich club currently have two games left and are level on points at the top of the table as they battle for promotion from the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier in Swiss football.

Grasshopper have also lost their last three games but Ronan will now miss the remaining fixtures after breaking his metatarsal in the loss to Winterthur on Monday.

The 23-year-old is due to be out for four to five months and as a result will return to Wolves for treatment.
