The 20-year-old played 21 times for the Sky Blues but is now thought to be on his way to another Championship side.

Wing-back Giles was due to be with them for the whole season but the agreement was ended early after he was left out of the squad against Reading last week – as one of six loan players, with only five allowed on a matchday.

Coventry boss Mark Robins said: "Ryan was recalled by Wolves so he’s gone back there and is due to go back out in the Championship, no doubt, later on.

"I’d like to place on record to Wolves my thanks for letting us have him and thank Ryan for his contribution while he’s been here and we move on from that situation."

Giles also spent the second half of last season at Coventry.
