A dejected Conor Coady of Wolverhampton Wanderers (AMA)

Rui Patricio

Beaten by both Barnes and Wood from close range, which he could not really do anything about.

Also made top saves to deny both strikers one-on-one and prevent further embarrassment for Wolves. 7

Max Kilman

Coming back in on the right of the defensive three, this was not Kilman's best display.

Was caught flat-footed as Taylor went on the overlap and set up Barnes. 5

Conor Coady

Not a good night for any of the centre-halves, really. Struggled against target man Wood. 5

Romain Saiss

Was bailed out by Patricio when caught under the ball, allowing Barnes to latch onto Pope's long punt upfield. Later moved to left-back and did not offer much going forward. 5

Nelson Semedo

Started fairly brightly but his attacking presence waned as the game went on. Got caught out a few times. 5

Ruben Neves

Not at the races, at all. Nowhere near what he can be. Had the ball stolen off him a few times in dangerous areas and was very wasteful with the ball.

Taken off for Vitinha towards the end and cut an extremely frustrated figure as he walked off. 4

Joao Moutinho

Back from suspension but this was a passive display from Moutinho, with Dendoncker's presence in midfield sorely missed. 5

Owen Otasowie

Deployed in a false nine role, the unusual approach just did not work. The young American, though, will bounce back. 5

Rayan Ait-Nouri

A surprise to see him in the side ahead of Marcal. Ultimately, he did not make the most of the opportunity and was barely involved. 5

Pedro Neto

Has been brilliant this season, overall, but this was not Neto's night either. Had a couple of shots from range but that was about it. 5

Daniel Podence

Slightly brighter than his forward partner and he certainly put a shift in, even though he did not have a lot of joy. 6

Subs

Fabio Silva (for Otasowie, 60)

Would have been disappointed not to start, so fair play to Silva for coming on and showing the attitude he did.

Got his reward as he won a penalty and coolly put it away, opening his Wolves account on the night's only major positive. 7

Adama Traore (for Ait-Nouri, 60)

Did not do a huge amount, but he got a few crosses in and asked some questions. 6

Vitinha (for Neves, 76)
